Dympna Callaghan is William L. Safire Professor of Modern Letters and University Professor in the Department of English at Syracuse University. She is a past President of the Shakespeare Association of America and editor of the Arden Shakespeare Language and Writing series, co-editor of the Palgrave Shakespeare Studies series, and an editor of the Asian Shakespeare Intercultural Archive (A/S/I/A). Her books include Shakespeare Without Women (Routledge, 2000), Who Was William Shakespeare? (Wiley-Blackwell, 2013), and Reading Shakespeare’s Poetry (Wiley-Blackwell, 2023). She has authored, edited, and co-edited fourteen books on Shakespeare and early modern literature.
