Gordon McMullan

Gordon McMullan is Professor of English at King’s College London. His book, Shakespeare and the Idea of Late Writing: Authorship in the Proximity of Death, was published by Cambridge at the end of 2007. He has also written The Politics of Unease in the Plays of John Fletcher (1994) and edited Henry VIII for the Arden Shakespeare series (2000) and 1 Henry IV for Norton Critical Editions. In addition, he has edited or co-edited four collections of essays, the most recent of which is Reading the Medieval in Early Modern England, co-edited with David Matthews (Cambridge, 2007). He is a general editor of Arden Early Modern Drama and a member of the editorial board of the Internet Shakespeare Editions. He has been a Leverhulme Fellow (2002-2003), a Research Fellow of the Humanities Research Centre, Australian National University, Canberra (2006) and the Lloyd Davis Memorial Visiting Professor at the University of Queensland (2008).
